Types of resistors Fixed resistors: Have a permanent resistance value.Carbon-composition: Cost-effective but have high noise levels.Carbon-film: More stable than carbon-composition resistors, made with a thin carbon layer on a ceramic substrate.Film resistors: Include metal film and metal oxide film, offering better stability and tolerance.Wirewound: Made by winding metal wire around an insulating core; durable and accurate, often used for high-power applications.
